After November

I'm working on NaNoWriMo this month (if anyone else is doing it, my NaNo name is writemydreams. Shocking I know) and trying very hard to get the first draft of the Art of Denial finished. I've had this story haunting me for months. I've been struggling with it the last few days but I was able to get almost 2,000 words written last night. I haven't been able to do that much since Saturday. So I'm hoping it'll be easier to write now that I'm getting into the main part of the novel. My goal is to finish Art of Denial then take a break from it. Just give it a rest and then after a month or so, come back to it and read through it with fresh eyes. If I try to edit right after NaNo I'll just hate everything I wrote and feel the urge to delete it and start over. That's what happened with my last NaNo novel. Took almost a year off from working on it then felt the random urge to read through it again and liked it MUCH more than when I read it last November.

On tumblr and facebook I've mentioned the things I plan to work on after I finish up with NaNoWriMo. My first priority is to finish Life or Death. Chapter 3 and 4 have been started but I think I'll just combine them. I have a few scenes started for various parts of To Love a Vampire so I'll finish and edit those and post them. Then... I think that's going to be the end of To Love a Vampire. I had so many more scenes and ideas planned, but I've honestly lost interest. It's too "safe" for me and there isn't enough going on. There's too much focus on romance and I tend to get bored when writing fics like that. So, to Love a Vampire will be ending soon. Maybe I'll feel the urge to come back to it some other time but I doubt it.

I've been working on two scenes with Mejibray. My Mejibray ideas involve ghosts. I know, as a writer, it's not good to stick with a similar concept but... I can't help it. At this moment in time it's what I'm most passionate about writing. I've gotten better at writing horror stories and I want to keep challenging myself and pushing myself as a writer. This series focuses on the Mejibray members being paranormal investigators and they take clients to help them with their paranormal problems. In one, Atsushi hires them to investigate a property he inherited. In the second story, their client is D. D own a bakery and have been experiencing some activity there. The Atsushi one is a horror story but the one with D is more mild. I plan to write both, but I'm wondering which to write first. And if I should include more characters in the Mejibray/D fic. Also pairings. I had planned on Hide-Zou x Tsune, Asagi x Ruiza for the D bakery but I'm unsure now. I don't want to focus too much on relationships so it might end up just being Asagi x Tsune since they are my D OTP <3. We'll see. I won't start writing either of these fics until Life or Death is over so that might not be until January.

I still love the bakery idea. X') Maybe you should leave pairings out of this one? Or if you do, just mention is as a casual point. I have really disturbing images of Asagi running around the bakery trying to pinch Ruiza's ass with a pair of baking tongs. Thanks for that. But you are going to upload them, aren't you? I haven't read a ghost story in ages, and it's not really in my conventional writing life (that sounds really sophisticated), so I'm looking forward to reading them!

I do too. It'll be fun and with how much Ruiza loves food he'd be perfect in a bakery setting. I'll have to add donuts to the their menu lol. It's a series so any pairings from one fic will carry on to the other, but the pairings aren't the emphasis. They'd really only come up because at one point Tsune is having a hard time breathing because Ruiza tied his Halloween costume's corset way too tight. Tsune feels like he's going to pass out and the lights in the room start flickering crazily. Cue worried lover rushing to check on Tsune.
Omg, that visual. Asagi's not one to sexually harass his lovers in public XD He's more the type to cuddle them and try to get them to eat more because they're so small. I will be uploading them! I haven't read many either lately... I've just been writing them. I'll just have to decide which one I do first

Yes, you must add mini-donuts. XD Did you see the picture Ruiza posted this morning / yesterday of him holding a biscuit on his head and deliberating whether or not to eat it or just play with it? Yeah.

Then Hide-Zou can complain about Ruiza eating too many donuts and cookies. Lol I did, it's pretty cute. I'm sure he ate it immediately after the picture was taken

Asagi is definitely more of the caring type.

The issue is just which to write first. Tsuzuku and MiA don't become a couple until the haunted manor story and I have a very cute scene in mind for the bakery. MiA gets a bag of flour dumped on his head and amused Tsuzuku is helping him clean the flour off his face then kisses him. So if I want that, they need to be together. Stuff to decide lol

For which one to do first, I always have this issue with songs (sad, I know). If I have an hour's free ahead of me and feel like listening to two singles / EPs / whatever, I always choose the one that I know I will enjoy the most afterwards. It may seem weird, but you should write the one you know you will still want to write in, say, a month afterwards. ^^ If I were you, I'd save the D one for second, because you've already written so much with them, and it's obviously something within your comfort zone. Just some advice.

Oh really? I just listen to songs randomly. But that's a good point about writing. I think it'd be best to try the haunted manor first since that one is much darker and it'll be an interesting way to experiment with the characters. That's true too. I've done a lot with D... all right, manor first then the bakery.

Me too, most of the time, but it's just something I thought would make reasoning better. ^^ I'm really looking forward to this story. XD It's going to be so great... In a disturbing way.

It was a fitting example. Thank you, so am I. I've gotten some more outlining done and during the process of planing for the fic, Meto decided that he deserved his own pretty man so he says Koichi will be his. Thinking it's going to be about 10 chapters but not positive. I'm up to 8 in my outline and I'm deciding how I want to end it.

Meto x Koichi? o_O Oh wow... Weirdly enough, I can't imagine Meto with anyone, apart from maybe a doll that Tzk carries around with him. XD I have some weird perceptions of this group. Either way, good luck!

It shocked me too. It's difficult for me to picture Meto with anyone too but in this fic, it works. MiA and Meto are the only ones who have psychic abilities/are sensitive to ghosts. Tsuzuku has some one-sided feelings for MiA that he's terrible at expressing so he's usually investigating with MiA and thus Meto is usually with Koichi. Pairings aren't the focus but eventually Meto will become comfortable enough with Koichi to talk to him. He doesn't say much, but he will say some things to Koichi.
