Breaktime

I've been avoiding making this post because I've been waiting/hoping my inspiration would return, but given it's been about a month and I'm still not feeling it... it's time for me to take a little break from working on any of my Jrock fanfiction. I enjoy daydreaming scenes but I have no drive or incentive to write them down. I'd hoped to have Chapter 8 finished by now as poor MiA is stuck. If I force the chapter out, it won't be good though.

Going to work on my novel since I've got some of those muses poking at me. Maybe a chance of pace is just what I need to get back into my inspiration. I've also gotten deep into the Star Trek fandom after seeing Beyond in the theater last week. I plan on starting the original series next week, but in the meantime I have plenty of new reading material!

Happens to all of us eventually. Don't worry; inspiration always pops up at the oddest times and places. ^_^

I've had plenty of inspiration for my novel so I'll take this as a sign to put some work in on that. It's nice getting back to purely original work again :)

And I'll read your sequel soon! I've just been waiting for more chapters to be out because I like to marathon read

I prefer to marathon read as well. I tend to forget things if chapters are spaced out too far. (The hazard of getting old!) Current projections have the sequel being about 35 chapters if that affects when you want to start reading. ^_^

Any inspiration is good inspiration, IMO. I hope your able to make some good progress on the novel.

Take as much time as you need. And CONGRATULATIONS on your contest win! That was well-deserved - that was probably the best DIAURA fic I've ever read.

Thank you! I was surprised but really happy that mine won. Glad we had so many good entries for the contest. Aw, really? Kei keeps pestering me to continue writing it. Maybe when the drive returns.
