A small update

Been a little over a month since I last made an entry here. I wish I could be coming with a new fic to post, but all my visual kei muses are either in hiding or have gone into retirement. They're probably having a massive orgy together. I've spent the last month having weekly sessions with my therapist (seems to be helping, but I'm finding that I'm not really sure what to talk about in sessions now. Mom wants me to work on my confidence but when it comes to body image I instantly shut down because I feel judged or belitted.) I put jobhunting on hold to work on myself though I have... sadly... put it off for too long because my bank account is on fumes right now. Sigh.

Been going to the gym 5-6 days a week for the boot camp and been doing 1-3 classes a day. I don't see any physical changes and I'm too afraid of the scale to weigh myself too often. Whenever I do check it, my weight hasn't changed. I do feel more energetic and like I'm getting stronger so I'm hoping the gym will help me.

Other big change is that my friend and I got into the Batman fandom. I offered to write with her because we were both in need of fresh ideas and fresh characters to write... and it's been great for me! I have ideas, active muses, (I think I've written about 10 pages in the last few days, which is more than I've written in months), and it's been fun finding new fics to read and different materials to read or watch. So um... not sure I'll be writing anymore visual kei fics anytime soon. Considering I've been writing in this fandom since I was 16 or 17, it's been a long time running. There are some fics I really do want to finish but I also know better than to force myself.

So in the meantime I'll enjoy my new fandom. I'll be posting my Batman fics to my Ao3 account when I have them finished and ready to post. I can post them here too if anyone is interested in reading.

Glad to hear that you're finding the therapy sessions helpful! And I'm very impressed that you are so dedicated to your gym routine. Way to go! ^_^

Finding new fandoms and leaving old ones is just part of life, I think. I do hope your muses eventually perk up again, because I'm very interested in how your unfinished stories end. But there's no rush. Wait until you're inspired.

They've been great :) I wanted to sign up for a full membership this month but since I have to get a mole on my back removed and that requires 2 weeks of downtime I'll have to wait until May to start.

I think so too. I do plan to finish up some projects and I do have San giving me ideas. Right now my DC muses are the most active ones so San will wait patiently until Nightwing and Deathstroke calm down.

I don't think Nightwing is the sort of character who calms down. Once he's a muse, he's a muse for life. ^_~

Oh god, you're so true. That boy has kept me busy with ideas! Then since I've been doing a somewhat AU with the Batman canon I wound up coming up with ideas to make my own superhero novel. But it's been fun to work on both the fanfic and then the original. Plus San has snuck in for some attention though he's really not happy about that, poor thing.

Write what you want to write! If your visual kei muses come back, that's cool. If they don't? You're writing in a fandom you're comfortable with, and that's what matters!

That's a great message :) Thanks for that. I always feel guilty about slipping into another fandom, but I've been having so much fun writing DC characters.
