Fanfiction... Stopping?

As much as I enjoy writing fanfiction, I've hit another slump with it. I'm very discouraged by the complete lack of reader response I'm getting on the fics I post. Why should I take the effort to edit and polish a fic, post it to LJ and broadcast it on tumblr, only to get maybe 3 comments at most? I've gotten one comment on the Hide-Zou x Tsune fic I posted a few days ago. Cleaning it up was actually pretty complicated and I wonder if I wasted my time since it seems like no one is reading what I post.

It surely seems that I'm just begging for comments with this, but I'm not. I wanted to make a point.

The Hide-Zou x Tsune chapter I posted will probably be the last fanfic I post for a while. I'm not motivated because I feel like I'm wasting my time with the entire posting process. So I'll be working on my novels and writing a little on my computer. Decide what projects I want to continue.
