Summary: All Hyde can think of is food, but Tetsu finds a way to distract him.
Author's Comment: I was so frustrated with writing another story I needed a break, so I wrote this.

 

Tetsu looked up from his book as he realized it was quiet. Too quiet. He’d been so caught up in the world of his book that he hadn’t noticed what was going on around him for a while. What had happened to Hyde complaining about being hungry and how they should stop the bus so he could eat? Or Ken fighting Hyde off so he could eat a snack in peace while Yukihiro laughed at them? He scanned the tour bus to see what his band mates were doing. There was Yukihiro napping in a chair with the hood of his sweatshirt pulled over his face. Ken was nearby listening to music and tapping out a beat on his thighs. That explained why they were quiet. And Hyde… Tetsu smiled as he saw his lover kneeling on the seat beneath the window, hands planted against the glass and body pressed against the window as he looked outside.

“Hyde, what are you doing?” Tetsu set his book down and went over to his lover.

“Look at all the candy shops!” Hyde squealed. Tetsu leaned in closer to get a better view. There certainly were a lot of them along this stretch of road. That chocolate shop by the music store looked like it would be delicious. He wondered what their sweets would taste like, but reminded himself that he was on a diet and shouldn’t be thinking of buying chocolate.

“You don’t need any candy, Hyde.” Tetsu gently pulled his lover away from the window. He was worried Hyde would get knocked off the chair if the bus hit a bump.

“But I want some,” the singer pouted.

“We can’t stop the bus yet, but when we do I’ll get you some candy.” He knew better than to remind Hyde of diets.

“Promise?”

“I promise.” Tetsu took Hyde’s hand and brought him over to the couch, sitting down and patting the spot next to him. The singer sat down in Tetsu’s lap instead and wrapped his arms around his neck.

“I’m hungry.”

“You’re always hungry,” Tetsu chuckled. He draped his arm around Hyde’s waist and pressed him a little closer.

“Well I’m really hungry now! Isn’t there anything to eat?”

Tetsu poked Hyde’s stomach. “No, Hurricane Hyde swept through and ate everything.” A box of strawberries, three bananas and a bag of chips Hyde had taken from Ken had met their demise.

“That was a while ago.”

“Just wait another hour. We’re going to stop for lunch then,” Tetsu said patiently.

“But I’m-”

Tetsu shut Hyde up with a kiss before he could finish his sentence. The singer eagerly kissed him back and reached up to tangle his fingers in Tetsu’s hair as he deepened the kiss.

“Ugh, you two need to get a room.”

Tetsu reluctantly stopped kissing Hyde and looked up. Ken, who had complained, was pretending to gag while Yukihiro continued to sleep.

Hyde huffed and gave Ken the finger. “Look away if you don’t want to see it.” He kissed Tetsu again.

The bassist returned the kiss before nudging Hyde off his lap. He liked Ken’s idea about getting a room. And he wouldn’t have to hear his lover griping about being hungry if he was suitably distracted…

Tetsu x Hyde is so cute and I think the first time I've read it as a pairing. I think you converted me -_- but I loved to read a sequel of this where Hyde finally gets his candy.

This is the second time I've written this pairing, but they are cute together and it's always fun to explore new pairings. I still love Gackt x Hyde best of course. Ah no sequels for this, I have a different L'Arc pairing in mind where Hyde gets some candy

He reminds me of the Very Hungry Caterpillar sometimes XD It's adorable when he decides to sit on and not next to Tetsu and finds another way to spend the time then eating.

I have no idea what that is XD But Hyde is always hungry so I'd say it's fitting. I imagine Tetsu is cozier than a chair so why not have him use Tetsu as a chair
