Summary: Tetsuya reflects over the past twenty years as he waits backstage with L'Arc~en~Ciel.
Author's Comment: Congrats to our boys for 20 years together! I wrote this on the way back from my vacation, but forgot about it until recently. It was shorter than I remembered which made editing quite easy. I feel like I could have added more, but I thought ending it there worked. And I'd say this is my last cute fic for a while. I'm pretty tired of writing them, which is probably why I didn't edit this for so long. 

 

     

Tetsuya listened to the cheers of the fans as he waited to step out stage with L’Arc~en~Ciel. He could still remember when this band had just been a dream twenty years ago, but each member had helped turn Tetsuya’s dreams into reality. L’Arc~en~Ciel had been through good times and bad times, but they were here. The band had endured even after the crisis in the 90’s when Sakura had nearly broken them up and had gone on to become a huge success in the Japanese music industry.

Tetsuya smiled as he turned to Hyde. L’Arc~en~Ciel wasn’t the only thing that had endured: their relationship had. They’d been together for the last fifteen years and they’d also been through their good times and bad times, had their fights, but their love for each other had endured. He reached for Hyde and pulled the singer into his arms. “Ready?” he asked, kissing Hyde’s forehead.

The singer returned the kiss. “I am,” he beamed. “Twenty years together… sometimes I still can’t believe it’s real.” He smiled and kissed Tetsuya again.

“And fifteen of watching you two make out,” Ken grumbled, chuckling as he rolled his eyes. He always teased them, but he was happy for them.

Hyde stuck his tongue out in response and stole another kiss. Tetsuya resisted the urge to bury his fingers in Hyde’s extensions and press him closer, kiss him until he stole his breath away, but restrained himself. They would go out on stage soon and there would be plenty of time to kiss Hyde later.

“We’re all used to it by now though,” Yukihiro added.

Tetsuya ignored his bandmates as he kissed Hyde’s cheek. “I’m ready for another fifteen with you.”

“I’m ready for more.” Hyde couldn’t resist claiming one more kiss before he forced himself to step back. “Should we keep them waiting much longer?”

Ken shook his head. “I don’t want to wait.”

“Me neither,” Yukihiro said.

Tetsuya took Hyde’s hand and squeezed it. “Let’s go then.” He smiled as the crowd fell silent, knowing their intro had begun and it was time for the members to step out on stage.

Mine too. I adore Hyde with Gackt, but I like him with Tetsu too (or Megumi. They're adorable together)

It's really short for me, usually I try to make something short like this but it grows by itself. I wanted it to be short though so I'm glad it cooperated with me. Aw, thank you!

Usually writing something short like this is impossible for me, but I like how it turned out. Short and sweet, just like I wanted.

It's been awhile since I read ANY fics,I feel kinda out of the loop.What I like about this story is not only the fluff,but how long L'arc en Ciel has been together,and how long I've been listening to them,make's me feel happy for them ^^.
