Summary: After guest-starring for VAMPS on Halloween, the costumes Gackt and Hyde wore haunt Gackt in his sleep and inspire a vivid dream.
Author's Comment: This idea came to me last month, but I wanted to finish some things before I started writing. I've gone against my usual writing process and haven't planned a lot of this out yet, so I'm not sure how long this story is going to be... I'm hoping it won't exceed 7 chapters. I'll try to update with Chapter 2 soon.
Hyde smiled and returned the embrace. “That was one of the best lives I’ve ever had.”
“I agree.” Gackt pressed him closer to his chest. It was nothing like the performance he’d once expected to have with Hyde. He wore a soldier’s uniform instead of dressing as Sho and Hyde wore a blood-stained wedding gown instead of the clothes he’d worn as Kei. Gackt had played drums instead of standing up front with Hyde with a microphone in his hands and they hadn’t sung Orenji no Taiyou, but he had no complaints. He’d been able to stand on the same stage as his lover and that was all that mattered.
“I’m impressed by your self-control,” Hyde stuck out his tongue. “You didn’t try to shove your hand up my skirt once.”
Gackt grinned and let his hand wander down Hyde’s back. “Is that a suggestion to do so?”
The singer swatted his hand away. “No it’s not.”
Gackt chuckled and pulled his wig off, setting it on a nearby table. “I feel like I should have picked you up and carried you off the stage.”
Hyde laughed. “I think we would have gone deaf from the squeals if you had.” He took his wig off to and pulled the pins out of his hair, shaking his head and letting his hair fall free.
“I wouldn’t have minded.”
Hyde smiled fondly. “I know you wouldn’t have.” He stepped away and sat down in one of the nearby chairs, pulling the skirt up so he could untie his black boots. He slipped them off his feet and stood again, turning his back to Gackt. “Can you help me out of this dress?”
“I’d love to get you naked.”
Hyde shot him a dirty look. “So I can change, Gacchan. I’m not going to have sex with you in the dressing room. That can wait until we’re at home.”
“But you won’t be my bride then.” Gackt kissed Hyde’s exposed shoulder and wrapped his arms around his waist again.
The singer squirmed in his arms. “Gacchan, behave. You can carry me into the house if you want to feel like a man on his wedding night.”
Gackt kissed Hyde’s shoulder again, smiling against his skin. “Nothing would make me happier.” He straightened up and unzipped the dress. Hyde pulled his arms out of the sleeves and pushed the dress down his body, stepping out of it with a sigh of relief.
“That feels much better,” He fanned himself with his hands as Gackt admired his body. All Hyde was wearing right now were boxers, leaving plenty of skin on display. Hyde reached for his clothes, but Gackt caught his hand.
“Are you sure you want to get dressed? I was enjoying the view.”
Hyde huffed. “Stop being so perverted, Gacchan.” He pulled his jeans on and zipped them, tugging a t-shirt over his head next and covering the skin that Gackt’s fingers itched to stroke.
“You’re still wearing your pearl necklace.”
Hyde glanced down. “Oh, you’re right.” He unfastened the clasp and set it aside. “I’m going to go find Kaz and see if he needs me for anything else… then we should be free to go home.” He kissed Gackt’s cheek, catching his hands before they could start to wander. “Behave or I’ll change my mind.”
Gackt leaned down for a kiss. “Go talk to Kaz then. I’ll wait for you here.”
Hyde kissed him back and left the dressing room to go find his band mates.

Gackt rolled into bed with Hyde and pulled him into his arms right away, skin and hair still damp from the shower they’d just taken together. He’d been good and kept his hands to himself until they returned to their home. Once inside, it’d been a different story and Hyde’s sounds of pleasure had soon been echoing throughout the bathroom. But now, all he wanted to do was lie in bed with Hyde in his arms.
“I think you should guest star with VAMPS more often,” Hyde said as he pulled the sheets over them. “The fans loved you.”
It was a very tempting offer, but Gackt doubted it’d be possible. They were both so busy with their respective schedules and multiple appearances by the same guest star were rare. It was a wonderful idea, but not very plausible. “I’d love to.”
“I know you would.” Hyde sighed. “And I wish we could perform together more often.”
“I do too.” Gackt kissed him, stroking the angel wings on his back. “At least we had this live though. And even though we’re both so busy, we still have time to be with each other.”
“You’re right.” Hyde kissed him back, but turned away to yawn.
“Tired?” Both of them had started their day early, and Hyde had been so busy with VAMPS it was hard for him to get enough sleep.
Hyde nodded.
“Go to sleep then.” Gackt kissed the top of his head. “Maybe you’ll dream about the costumes we wore.”
The singer chuckled. “I’d rather dream about food. Like that great dream I had last week where your bathtub was filled with chocolate…”
Gackt rolled his eyes. “You’re a food monster even in your sleep.”
Hyde laid his head on the pillow and closed his eyes. “And you’re a health freak in yours. I heard you sleep talking about being on the treadmill a few days ago.”
Gackt laughed. “That means I’m healthy. Unlike you,” he tickled Hyde’s side, making him giggle and smack his hand away, “who dreams about fattening chocolate.”
“I’d rather dream about delicious chocolate than dream about exercising.” Hyde shifted into a more comfortable position. “Go to sleep too, Gacchan. You need your rest.”
Gackt stroked Hyde’s hair. He couldn’t sleep for as long as Hyde wanted him to since he had his own work to complete, but he’d rest for a couple hours. The soloist closed his eyes and pressed him a little closer,letting Hyde’s soft breathing lure him into slumber.
Does anyone have a good icon of soldier Gackt or bride Hyde? I'd like to have an icon for this story

Soldier GACKT? I have an icon of Zero (made by someone else) and one of Proto (the one I'm using now). I can edit out the word 'Proto' if you'd like. ♥

Oh okay, I'm not sure if I'd want to use Zero because of the marks on his face, haha. This Gackt isn't a cyborg. That would be very helpful :)

I don't know, but I hope they do. It's VAMPS for me, totally. They're more fun and lulzy, haha. I love L'Arc but sometimes they're too idol-ish, imo.

There won't be any interruptions in the dream. The first and last parts are reality, but everything in between is the dream. I'm not sure if Gackt would be able to get back to the dream if he kept waking up XD

I always love the idea of Hyde being carried, and what a perfect opportunity for Gackt to have done so with Hyde being dressed as a beautiful bride ♥ Though he's right, we would've heard the squeals all the way to the US XD

And I always like Gackt in your fics, he's always very sweet~

From what Gackt has said about Hyde, he seems like he would be a very sweet partner for Hyde. I have a couple fics where he is definitely not sweet, don't think I've posted them though. I rarely write angst in fanfiction. I have OC's to abuse, haha.
