Summary: Hyde asks Tetsu to bite him again for the fans and, much to his horror, is caught by Ken and Sakura.
Author's Comment: There was a contest for L'Arc fics so I decided to just rewrite 'Fans' and post it. I'm much happier with the rewrite... and this can also work for the friendship prompt at laruku_in_words

“Tet-chan!” Hyde entered the dressing room and looked for the bassist. Their stage clothes for tonight’s live hung on a rack, makeup and hair supplies were haphazardly placed around the mirror, and Ken and Tetsu’s guitars were neatly arranged on stands. Hyde relaxed as he saw Tetsu, alone, and tuning his bass. Good. His request would have been beyond embarrassing with an audience since Sakura would smirk and Ken would tease him ruthlessly.

“What?” Tetsu looked up from the bass.

“I need you to do something for me.”

Tetsu looked wary. “What do you want?” he set the instrument back on its stand then faced the approaching vocalist.

“You have to bite me again!” Hyde flipped his long hair over his shoulder and pulled his collar down to expose his neck.

Tetsu blushed. “W-What?”

“I said you have to bite me again! You saw how excited the girls were at our last live.” That had been two weeks ago. The girls in the front row had noticed the hickey as soon as Hyde walked out on stage. They’d started squealing and pointing, captivated by the red mark on his neck. The vocalist had smirked and deliberately pulled his collar lower throughout the live to flaunt the hickey. The best part was when Tetsu sauntered over while Hyde was singing and bit him right where he’d left the mark. That – and his surprised squeak – earned delighted squeals and shrieks from the fangirls. Hyde half expected some of them to faint since they’d been so excited. Pleasing the fans was always easy, but the vocalist liked that. Getting a hickey was a small price to pay to see them so happy.

Tetsu looked uncomfortable. “But, Hyde, I was drunk when I bit you the first time.”

“So?” Hyde pouted. “You don’t have to be drunk to bite someone. You weren’t drunk when you bit me on stage so stop being awkward. I’m not asking you to marry me; I’m just asking you to bite me for our fans.”

Tetsu sighed. Everyone knew Hyde could be very stubborn when he wanted something. The vocalist watched the other man and could tell he was calculating whether further refusals were even worth the effort. “Fine, I’ll do it.”

Hyde grinned as Tetsu tugged him closer. “Bite my collarbone this time. They’ll really love that.” He’d have to wear a lower shirt so the hickey would be visible, but the girls (and occasional fanboy) would love to see him show extra skin.

Tetsu rolled his eyes. “You really love teasing the fans don’t you do?”

“Of course I do.” Hyde smiled sweetly. “Now hurry up and bite me before Ken comes in and makes another sex joke about us.” He leaned back to give Tetsu better access to his collarbone. Hopefully the bassist would be quick… Hyde really didn’t want the others to see him like this. Especially Ken. Sakura would smirk and find it amusing, but Ken would torment them forever.

“You’re so demanding,” Tetsu grumbled as he leaned down. Hyde gasped as the bassist bit him hard. He laid a hand on the back of Tetsu’s head to keep him in place, sliding his fingers through his soft hair as Tetsu nipped and sucked at that spot. A hickey would definitely form.

“Who needs porn when you have this? Put your left hand where I can see it, Hyde.”

The vocalist jumped and looked over his shoulder. He blushed furiously as he saw an amused Ken standing in the doorway. Damn! He’d hoped this wouldn’t happen. “It’s for the fans,” Hyde said defensively.

Ken smirked. “What fans? I don’t see any here.”

Blushing, Tetsu stepped away from Hyde. “The girls were so happy when they saw Hyde had a hickey so he asked me to bite him again. He just wants the girls to be just as excited tonight as they were last time.”

Ken’s smirk widened. “You sure you aren’t excited too?” Tetsu’s blush deepened as the guitarist looked him over. Hyde shuffled uncomfortably. Had the bassist gotten… excited over biting him? It didn’t seem to be the case since he’d reluctantly bitten Hyde, but still. The two were friends and he didn’t want things to become awkward between them.

“I’m not,” Tetsu snapped.

“You’re not sure?”

“I’m not excited!”

Ken snickered. “Right…” he glanced at Hyde then whistled as he saw the mark on his collarbone. “You really enjoyed biting him, didn’t you? I’d ask if I should leave the two of you alone, but we have a strict no sex before a live rule.”

Hyde scowled and gave the guitarist the finger. “Oh shut up.”

Ken laughed and ruffled his hair. “Is Tetsu biting you before a live the start of a new tradition?”

“I… I don’t know. Maybe.” Hyde glanced over at Tetsu, who had resumed tuning his bass. Having the other man bite him a few times for fanservice was fine, but he wasn’t sure about having Tetsu bite him for every live. Maybe tonight should be the last night so they wouldn’t run the risk of awkwardness developing between them. Speaking of awkward… Hyde grinned and pulled his collar down lower. “Why, do you want to bite me too?”

Ken snorted. “If you were a girl I would.” He always avoided Hyde when he attempted to do fanservice with him.

“All right, this conversation is over. We’re going to discuss preparations for the live now and no one is allowed to talk about biting for the rest of the night,” Tetsu said firmly, giving the pair a dark look.

“Who’s biting who?” Sakura asked, raising an eyebrow as he stepped into the room.

Tetsu groaned. “No one.”

Ken smirked. “Hyde asked Tetsu to bite him.”

“For the fans!” Hyde insisted. He wished he’d asked Tetsu to bite him when they were going home last night instead of waiting until today. But he’d wanted the hickey to be fresh.

Sakura chuckled. “You sure it’s not for you?”

Hyde gave the drummer a dirty look. “It’s not for me, Yacchan.” Why were his band mates so perverted? Now both of them would tease him forever. This was humiliating!

“You sure?” Ken smiled wickedly. “We could give you some alone time with Te- ow!” he pouted as the vocalist smacked him upside the head.

“Stop being so perverted.”

Ken laughed and ruffled Hyde’s hair. “It’s just so easy to rile you up.”

Tetsu sighed. “Are you finished? We have a live in three hours. We need to test the equipment on stage and I want to run through a few songs to make sure everything is perfect.” The four of them took lives very seriously. Mistakes were sometimes hard to avoid, they were only human after all, but it reflected poorly on their musical capabilities. A single mistake would mean additional hours of practice because Tetsu always wanted L’Arc~en~Ciel’s lives to be perfect. Tetsu waited until they’d all nodded or made some form of agreement before continuing, “We also need to put on our stage clothes and do hair and makeup. That could take a while so we need to start working now.”

“Yes, Mom,” Ken and Sakura chorused.

Hyde jumped at the opportunity to escape his teasing band mates. “I’ll go talk to our manager and make sure the stage is ready for us.”

“All right. We’ll continue rehearsing when you get back."

Hyde nodded and left the room. The venue wasn’t that large so it wouldn’t be difficult to find their manager. He started down the hallway, looking forward to the girls’ reaction when they saw his hickey. Maybe he should point at the mark when he was by Tetsu so they knew who was responsible… or get revenge on Ken by doing the same thing and pressing close to him when he was playing guitar. Yes, that was the perfect way to punish Ken for teasing him so much! Hyde couldn’t wait to see the look on the guitarist’s face. Oh he’d be so embarrassed… it’d teach him the perfect lesson about not teasing Hyde.

XDDD the idea of hyde getting a hickey from tetsu and then "blaming" it on Ken in front of the fans is simply perfect XD Considering how badly ken reacts even to most innocent attempts at fanservice, his reaction to that would probably be absolutely hillarious XD
