Merry Christmas everyone! Did everyone get the presents they wanted? I'll make a private post later today with details on how I spent Christmas and some of the presents I got.

Purpose of this entry (which I'm leaving public) is to remind everyone. On December 31 (at an ungodly hour) I'm leaving for my study abroad in Japan. I will be gone December 31 - May 23. I have no idea how busy I'll be but my priority is to study and learn Japanese. Writing and keeping up with LJ isn't going to be my priority so my LJ might be pretty quiet as I'm of in Japan. 

But, I do plan on maintaining a travel blog.

I've made a Flickr account where I'll be posting pictures: mytraveldreams http://www.flickr.com/photos/84426656@N05/ (I think that's the right link... I'm very new to Flickr so not positive)

And I also have a new account for a travel blog. I've made that at dreamwidth (which is like LJ but different): http://traveldreams.dreamwidth.org/
 I'll try to update that as mucha s possible but we'll see 

I've got a long couple days of travel (14 hour plane ride and then I'm taking a night bus from Tokyo to my cousin's apartment) so that'll give me time to write if I'm not too tired. Hopefully I'll have some new things to post :)

Thank you! I shipped my luggage to school and just had my backpack... I'm basically too cold to go out for long as my warmer shirts to layer under my hoodie are in there. But I've been enjoying the 100 yen shop and the chance to go make my own food. Feel like a proper adult.
I'm glad I get to stay in my cousin's apartment. She also has the sweetest cat ever (curled up in my lap right now)

Happy New Year 2013! I'm surprised that you're leaving (and I bet you're already in Japan by now). I wish I had a chance to go to Japan. Well, good luck with your purpose and take care! *and I'll go check on the D songs you recommended once I got the time X)

Thank you, yes by the time I received this I'd been in Japan for a few days already. I hope you can come out here sometime. I really like it here... just not the town I'm studying in lol. Thank you! (All right, I hope you like them. They have a wide range of music and have the more heavy rock songs too. Not all that fond of those but I respect that they're a versatile band)
