Title: Tatsurou in Wonderland
Author: [livejournal.com profile] write_my_dreams
Pairing: Atsushi (BUCK-TICK) x Tatsurou (MUCC)
Genre: AU, crossover, crack, drama
Warning/Disclaimer: Liberties with Alice in Wonderland, not much else for this chapter. Alice in Wonderland and the basis for Tatsurou's clothes do not belong to me but I've done my own twist on Wonderland so I do lay claim to that. I own none of the people.
Rating: PG-13
Chapters: 1/?
Summary: Tatsurou wakes up in a strange place wearing even stranger clothes with no idea what's happened to him. Then Atsushi, dressed as the Mad Hatter, finds him and Tatsurou realizes he's in Wonderland and taking the place of Alice.
Author's Comment: I felt like abusing Tatsurou and putting him in Alice's dress so Atsushi could rip it off because... I wanted some crack. I needed something to cheer me up. Since then, this idea has developed and become more dramatic. This chapter is an introduction to the world so more action will come later.

This is Tatsurou's pretty dress: imagine him in this but annoyed. This picture is in color

Tatsurou shifted as a breeze stirred his hair. When did he open the window? He didn’t remember doing that… closing it was probably a good idea. Something lacy tickled his legs as he sat up. Tatsurou glanced down, jaw dropping as he realized the t-shirt and sweatpants he’d gone to sleep in were gone. Now he wore a sky blue, knee length dress with short, lace-trimmed sleeves, blue and white striped stockings that came over the knee, and a white apron over the dress. A pocket watch was embroidered in the bottom left corner of the apron. His shoes were missing and his bangs, instead of falling into his face, felt like they were being held back by something. Tatsurou cautiously touched his head. He was wearing a silk hair ribbon. What the hell? Had someone pranked him and put him in a dress while he was asleep? But how had they gotten into his apartment?

Tatsurou raised his head to see if the prankster was still around. Then blanched as he realized his clothes weren’t the only problem. Tokyo… was gone. In its place was an area he’d never seen before. He was sitting under an enormous tree that had rainbow colored roses and other odd looking plants scattered around it. Slowly he got up, brushing grass off his skirt. He’d woken up in the outskirts of a forest. A path that circled the tree led deeper into the forest. Tatsurou turned to see where the path came from. He relaxed slightly as he saw that it led up three hills. Houses dotted the hills—houses with people that could tell him where he was and how to get home. He’d just started walking toward the hills when he heard movement within the trees. Good, now he wouldn’t have to walk. Tatsurou preferred going barefoot but not in girly stockings and a place he didn’t know. He turned back to the forest, suddenly feeling anxious. What if it was a wild animal, not a person, coming out of the forest? Tatsurou wondered if he should try to hide or climb the tree (fat chance of that, he couldn’t remember the last time he’d been this close to a tree. Let alone climbing one.)

He blinked as he heard singing. That sounded… exactly like Sakurai Atsushi singing. But what was Atsushi doing here? And where was ‘here’ anyway? Tatsurou watched the trees, gaping as Atsushi came walking down the path. He looked like he’d come straight out of the Alice in Wonder Underground PV with his old-fashioned black suit, black top hat, and cane topped with a silver skull.
Atsushi stopped singing as he saw Tatsurou. He looked just as surprised to see him as the taller man probably did. “Alice? What are you doing here? You know it isn’t safe!”

Tatsurou stared at him. Alice? Did he look like a woman named Alice? Wait… he looked at their clothes and then the landscape again. A place where Alice was in danger could only be… Wonderland. Shit, if he was Alice and Atsushi was the Mad Hatter, who was the Queen of Hearts? And where was she?

“I'm not Alice. I’m Tatsurou.”

Atsushi gave him a strange look. “My dear Alice, I believe you’ve gone mad.”

“I’m not mad! And I’m not Alice,” Tatsurou insisted. He may be taking her place in the story, but he wasn’t her. Somehow he had to get Atsushi to believe him.

“You are Alice. You’re wearing the same clothes you wore when I last saw you. How could you possibly be anyone else?” Atsushi asked, looking smug.

Tatsurou frowned. This was worse than he thought. Somehow he would have to make Atsushi believe him, and help the other man realize that he wasn’t the Mad Hatter. “Atsushi… take a good look at me. Do I look or sound like Alice?” If Atsushi still said yes, he should be disturbed that Alice had a deep voice and could be mistaken for a man. Or should he be concerned that he could be mistaken for Alice? He took a step closer then paused as the color drained from Atsushi’s face. Was he listening now?

“There are few who call me by that name. If you are not Alice then how do you know my name?”

Tatsurou grasped Atsushi’s shoulders, hoping he didn’t look excited at being able to touch him. He’d always admired (and idolized) Atsushi. The rare instances he could be with him were some of the best days of his life. “Because you’re famous. So many people know your name. You and your band mates… make amazing music. You’ve inspired so many people, even me.” Now he sounded like a lovesick fangirl. Atsushi did that to him though. “So you have to believe me. You aren’t the Mad Hatter. You’re a singer. You dressed as the Mad Hatter for PV and sang about Alice in Wonderland, but that’s all.”

Atsushi tensed. “You really have gone mad.” Then he smirked, brushing Tatsurou’s hands away. “But don’t worry. We’re all mad here.”

“I’m not crazy!”

Atsushi’s smirk widened as he began singing the intro to MAD. “Boku wa kurutteita, hiza wo kakaenagara…”

“You wrote that song.”

“Of course I did. I like to sing while I make hats.” Atsushi adjusted the top hat. “And with my hats is where you should be. Come, Alice. It’s dangerous for you to be out in the open like this. You’ll lose your head if the queen finds you.”

Tatsurou frowned. He wanted to keep his head but he had to convince Atsushi that he wasn’t Alice before they went anywhere. “I’m not leaving until you admit that I’m not Alice.”

Atsushi gave him an exasperated look. “Alice…”

Tatsurou growled in frustration. He stepped closer and seized Atsushi’s hand. “Do I feel like a woman?” He pressed Atsushi’s hand to his chest. There was no way the other man could still think he was Alice when he felt Tatsurou’s chest.

Atsushi frowned, quiet for a few moments before stepping back. “You’re right. You aren’t Alice. So if you aren’t her… who are you and why are you wearing her clothes?”

“I’m Tatsurou.” He brushed his hair back. “I don’t know why I’m here or why I’m wearing her clothes. I fell asleep in my apartment then woke up here. But that’s not important, we have to get back to Tokyo. We have our fans and our careers waiting for us. I’m a singer too.”

Atsushi gave him another strange look. “You really are mad, Tatsurou. You’ll fit in so well at the tea party.” He snickered then froze as he heard a dog howling. It sounded like it’d just caught the scent of its target… “We need to run.” Atsushi twirled his cane, making Tatsurou’s eyes widen as it shrunk to the size of a toothpick. Atsushi tucked the tiny cane into his pocket then grabbed Tatsurou’s hand. “This way!” he started running, leaving Tatsurou no choice but to follow him. It was difficult to run after him when he was barefoot, wearing a skirt, and unfamiliar with the terrain. Tatsurou shuddered as he heard the dog howl again. He’d convinced Atsushi that he wasn’t Alice but the queen and her card soldiers wouldn’t stop to listen.

Tatsurou tripped over something and fell, losing his grip on Atsushi’s hand. He blanched as he realized he’d tripped over the body of a card soldier. There was a knife in its back and the card seemed to be… melting. Was this how card soldiers decomposed? Atsushi grasped his arms and pulled him to his feet, glancing briefly at the dead soldier. “He tried to hurt Alice.”

“Did you kill him?” Tatsurou asked. He didn’t want to think of Atsushi as a murderer… although did killing a card count as murder? He wasn’t sure.

Atsushi shrugged. “It wasn’t me, although I would have killed him to protect Alice if I’d been with her.” He frowned as he took Tatsurou’s hand again. “I fear for her safety. I warned her that she would be in grave danger if she returned to Wonderland again. She came here last month and then she was gone the next day… and now you are here, dressed in her clothes. You were alone before I found you?”

“Yes.” Tatsurou wondered where the real Alice was. He hoped she was safe somewhere, and that he’d make it out of this with his head in place. Wonderland was more dangerous than he’d thought. “I didn’t see any sign of her or anyone else.”

Atsushi stiffened as the dog howled again. It was closer than before. “Hurry, we need to reach the garden.” He leaned down and swept Tatsurou off his feet and up into his arms. For a moment the taller man was too shocked to react, then started squirming.

“Put me down! I’m taller and probably heavier than you. You’ll hurt yourself carrying me.” And it was undignified! Just because he was starting to resemble a damsel in distress didn’t mean he needed to be carried like one.

Atsushi glared at him. “Do you want to lose your head?” he hissed, gripping Tatsurou tightly. The taller man froze. No, he wanted to keep his head in its proper place. “That’s better.” Feeling like a girl, Tatsurou held on to Atsushi as he left the path and moved into the trees. Branches snagged his stockings and occasionally scraped his legs. Tatsurou didn’t dare protest though. It was probably safer in the woods than to be on the path… out in the open, where anyone could see or find them. Atsushi had slowed down to a walk since it was impossible to run in the woods. The brush was too thick here. Tatsurou looked back over Atsushi’s shoulder, afraid of seeing card soldiers and the dog somewhere behind them. There was nothing but trees. Sighing softly, he faced forward again. Maybe they’d be able to get to the garden before the soldiers… but once there, where would they go? There wasn’t much cover available in a garden. All he could do was wait and see what Atsushi would do.

Sighing softly, he faced forward again. Tatsurou started violently as a large black and white striped cat with a big fluffy tail, long whiskers, and glowing green eyes suddenly appeared in front of them.

“Why, Hatter, I see you’ve found Alice.” The Cheshire Cat lazily stretched, raising one paw and looking at it. “Just in time too. The queen’s dogs are after her.” The cat glanced at Tatsurou then up at Atsushi. “You won’t get far carrying her through the trees.”

Tatsurou was too shocked over seeing the Cheshire Cat to correct him. He stiffened as he heard the hound howling again. It was louder and closer than before. The Cheshire Cat had helped Alice before… usually in a confusing way, but he did help her. “Will you help us?” he asked.

The Cheshire Cat disappeared then reappeared again, perched on top of Atsushi’s hat. Soft white hairs stuck to the black hat as his tail twitched against it. “Do you see the gold pin in his hat?”

“If you’d move I could tilt my head down,” Atsushi muttered.

The Cheshire Cat let out a soft, purring laugh then stepped off his hat. He floated in the air as Atsushi bent his neck. A gold pin was neatly stuck into the hat. Did the Cheshire Cat just put that there? Tatsurou took the pin out then held it up so Atsushi and the cat could see it. “This pin?”

“Yes.” The cat stretched again, flicking his fluffy tail against Tatsurou’s head. “Leave a saucer of milk out for me later, Hatter.” Slowly he disappeared. “Take care of Alice.”

“I will.” Atsushi adjusted his grip on Tatsurou. “I’m sorry, my dear, but I’ll require a drop of your blood to be able to work this little spell.” His fingers brushed against Tatsurou’s thighs in an apologetic caress. Tatsurou almost dropped the pin as he did that. Having Atsushi touching his thighs felt almost too good. He pushed the thoughts away as the hatter started speaking again. “Prick your finger with the pin and then drop it. Once you’ve done that, hold me tightly and do not let go.”

Feeling nervous, Tatsurou obeyed. He wrapped his arms around Atsushi once he’d dropped the pin and looked up at him. “What happens now?”

Atsushi smirked. “We leave.” He cleared his throat then announced, “to the tea party garden.”

For a moment, nothing happened. Then colors blurred as the forest started spinning like a top. Atsushi shifted so he could press Tatsurou’s face against his shoulder. “Don’t look. You’ll make yourself ill if you do.” It was best to listen to him. There was an odd popping noise, like a cork coming out of a champagne bottle, and then the forest smells and sounds were gone. Now Tatsurou could smell tea, scones, and something else… Cautiously he raised his head from Atsushi’s shoulder. This was definitely the tea party garden. They’d appeared in front of a long table with a purple tablecloth. Tatsurou glanced briefly at the various teapots, cups, and trays of scones and cookies before looking away, attention claimed by the garden. It was to the left of the table. Whoever had planted it had no idea what they were doing since there were various fruits and flowers but the arrangement was so haphazard that it was impossible to see what was there. Behind the tea table was a little tree whose branches were hung with hats and a small red house. There were two stories and the top floor had a balcony. Hat stands with even more hats covered the balcony. This was definitely the Mad Hatter’s house. Tatsurou could only imagine how many hats were inside…

“Hatter!” A squeaky voice called.

Tatsurou looked away from the house. A mouse in a black vest with a sash and sword around its tiny waist and a hare in a tattered, green suit coat were seated at the table, staring at them. Tatsurou blinked. How hadn’t he noticed them earlier? His stomach growled as he saw the half-eaten scone clasped in the March Hare’s paws. He hadn’t realized he was hungry until now.

“Hatter! You’ve found Alice,” the mouse squeaked again.

Tatsurou sighed. Why did everyone keep thinking he was Alice? Surely she didn’t look like him!

“This is Tatsurou, not Alice.”

The mouse blinked. “But she is Alice.”

Tatsurou glanced up at Atsushi. The hatter was smirking. “No, he isn’t Alice.” Atsushi set Tatsurou down then laid his hand over his heart. He couldn’t tell if the hatter was listening to his heartbeat or just feeling his chest. Probably the latter. “Tatsurou is a man.”
The mouse and the March Hare looked between Tatsurou and Atsushi. “Hatter, are you madder than before? She’s obviously Alice!”

“I’m not madder!” Atsushi huffed. “Tatsurou, prove that you’re not Alice.”

Tatsurou wondered how he was supposed to do that. He opened his mouth to say something then closed it as the March Hare left the table. Still holding his scone, he hopped towards Tatsurou. He sniffed the air several times then took a step back. “The hatter is right. You aren’t Alice.”

“I’m not.”

The March Hare returned to the table while the mouse gave Tatsurou a suspicious look. “If you’re not Alice, then why are you dressed as her? What did you do with her?”

“I…” Tatsurou fell silent as Atsushi laid a hand on his shoulder. Clearly he wanted to explain the situation himself.

“Tatsurou, like Alice, is not from Wonderland. He’s from…” he paused, glancing at Tatsurou. “Where did you say you were from again?”

“Tokyo. We,” he emphasized the word, “are from Tokyo.”

Atsushi shook his head slightly. “Tatsurou is from Tokyo. For some reason he woke up in Wonderland wearing the same clothes as Alice. I thought he was Alice too… you do have such similar hair after all.” He ran his fingers through Tatsurou’s long hair then reached up to adjust the ribbon. The damn ribbon! Tatsurou had completely forgotten that he was wearing it. He reached up to yank it out, but Atsushi smirked as he caught his hand. “Don’t do that. It looks so charming in your hair.”

Tatsurou frowned. Charming? More like ridiculous. “But-”

“Sh.” Atsushi pressed a finger to his lips. “Come, drink tea with us.” Still holding Tatsurou’s hand, he led him to the table and sat him down across from the March Hare. Tatsurou awkwardly tucked his skirt under his legs. He’d ask Atsushi to give him some pants after he drank some tea. There was no way in hell he was spending his entire time in Wonderland in a dress. Atsushi sat down in the chair next to him, shifting closer to Tatsurou. “Cards and dogs are in the forest looking for Alice. We need to be careful.” He poured himself a pot of an odd black tea that smelled like roses then took a sip.

The mouse and the March Hair tossed a blueberry scone onto the plates in front of them. The mouse picked up a cookie next. It meant to throw it on Tatsurou’s plate but him in the chest instead. “Sorry,” the mouse whispered. It laughed awkwardly but soon dissolved into mad cackles. Tatsurou blinked as he brushed the crumbs out of his hair, slightly confused. He jumped as he felt Atsushi’s hand in his hair next. He glanced up at the hatter, who was smirking again as he slowly ran his fingers down to the ends of Tatsurou’s hair. He brushed his hand against the taller man’s lower back then pulled away, making Tatsurou feel flustered. What was that about? “Drink some tea.”

Tatsurou blinked at the different pots of tea. He’d just choose the one next to him and hope the tea inside was good. The closet pot was dark blue with little hats painted on it. It was chipped in places, obviously a pot that was used often. Tatsurou picked it up and poured himself a cup of tea. The liquid inside was a deep purplish blue and smelled… weird. Feeling self-conscious as he realized everyone was watching him, Tatsurou sipped the tea. It was too hot, burned his tongue, and the flavor was horrible. Like rotting blueberries. He quickly put the cup down so he could kill the taste with his scone. The mouse and the March Hare laughed madly while Atsushi pushed a new cup at Tatsurou.

“You’ll like this better, I imagine.” He picked up a golden pot and poured what looked—and smelled—like green tea. Hopefully it was. Cautiously, Tatsurou picked up the cup so he could try it. It tasted exactly like green tea. Good, there was at least one familiar thing in Wonderland. “Better?”

“Yes.” Tatsurou smiled and sipped the tea again. He dropped the cup as he heard the dog howling again. He hissed as hot tea spilled all over his lap. His skirt and stockings were soaked and the liquid had burned his thighs.

Atsushi frowned and got up. “Get inside, now.” He grasped Tatsurou’s hand and pulled him to his feet. “It’s good that you spilled tea on yourself. It’ll confuse the hound.” He squeezed Tatsurou’s hand then glanced at the mouse and the March Hare. “Be sure to give our guests the proper hospitality.”

The mouse grinned. “Why is a raven like a writing desk?”

“Ask the soldiers that. Be sure to wish them a very merry unbirthday… and have them switch seats every time they annoy you.” Atsushi smirked then gave Tatsurou a gentle shove towards the door. “Wait inside. I’ll be with you soon.”

Uneasy, Tatsurou didn’t dare argue with him. He opened the door (the handle was shaped like a top hat) and stepped inside. It was surprisingly clean for being the Mad Hatter’s home. To the left of the entryway was a small kitchen with a table and three chairs, a cupboard stocked with various teapots, saucers, cups, and silverware. To the right was a living room with a couch and another table. Ribbons, fabric, and two hats covered that table. Behind the couch were bookshelves stacked with boxes of ribbons and other decorations, bolts of fabric, hats in various stages of completion, and other things. There was also a staircase with hats hanging from it. Unsure if he should go deeper into the house or stay by the door and wait for Atsushi, Tatsurou watched the hatter through the window. He blinked as he saw the mad trio pouring tea in front of the house, on Tatsurou’s chair, and around the table. Then he realized they were trying to cover his scent. Hopefully the tea was strong enough…

Once Atsushi had dumped the last pot in front of the house, he opened the door and walked inside. “That should buy us some time.” He winked at Tatsurou then turned back to the door. Tatsurou hadn’t realized there were six locks on it. It was strange that the Mad Hatter needed a door with six locks. Wasn’t he a peaceful character that wasn’t involved with the queen? Tatsurou was still figuring out what this version of Wonderland was like. He watched Atsushi locking the door, feeling grateful for the security. How could the card soldiers get through a door with this many locks? Then he looked at the windows and didn’t feel safe. The door was securely locked but anyone could break through the window.

Tatsurou sighed softly. “Atsushi… why is the queen looking for Alice?” The reason varied depending on the story. Since his life would be in danger if she found him, Tatsurou wanted to know why the queen was sending soldiers after him. Alice. This was confusing…

Atsushi frowned. “It’s complicated. Once the dog and her soldiers have been turned away, I will explain everything.” His hand brushed Tatsurou’s waist, again surprising him with the touch. “You need to change your clothes. Your dress has tea stains on it.”

Tatsurou glanced down. Atsushi was right. “I…” he swallowed as he heard the dog howling again, closer than before. His heart started beating faster. What if the dog’s handlers found him? Would the Queen of Hearts want his head? What would happen to him? He jumped as Atsushi cupped his face.

“Calm down,” he said softly. “You’re safe here. The mad ones are friends of Alice.”

“But I’m not Alice,” Tatsurou whispered.

Atsushi smiled sweetly. “No, you’re not, but you’re taking her place in the story.” He glanced down at Tatsurou’s tea-stained clothes. “Let’s get you changed.”

“I could wear your clothes?” A comfortable pair of pants would be so much better than a frilly dress and stockings.

Atsushi smirked. “But you look so beautiful in Alice’s dress. It’d be a shame,” he stepped closer and slowly twirled a lock of Tatsurou’s hair around his finger. “To dress you in my clothes.”

Tatsurou shivered. The sexually charged look Atsushi was giving him was enough to take his mind off the hound. …Until he heard it howling again. Atsushi sighed softly then took his hand. “My room is this way.” He led him up the stairs. There were two rooms up here, one that looked like a workroom and the other was Atsushi’s bedroom. There was a large, four-poster bed at the far end of the room. The bars of the headboard were carved in the shapes of hats. Against the wall was a wardrobe and a nightstand then a chair in the corner. There was a sliding door that led to the balcony where more hats were draped. Black curtains billowed in the light breeze from outside. Another table against the wall by the door was covered in hats, patterns, and fabric. Tatsurou had never seen so many hats before. Well, this was the Mad Hatter’s house. What else would be here? He stumbled as Atsushi tugged him towards his bed. “What do you think?”

“You have a lot of hats.”

Atsushi started laughing. “Of course I do. I’m the Mad Hatter, what else should I collect?” he smiled then went to the door and shut it, locking it pulled the curtains shut. He returned to Tatsurou, grasping his shoulders and turning him so that his back was to the bed.

“You need to calm down,” he said, voice serious again. “Worrying about the queen’s soldiers will do nothing but upset you. You’re safe here… they can’t get you.”

“How can you be sure?” Tatsurou replied.

Atsushi sighed then cupped his face. “Because I’ve protected Alice before.” Tatsurou was about to remind him that he wasn’t Alice, but was quickly distracted as Atsushi had just started kissing him. For a moment Tatsurou was frozen in shock. Atsushi had such soft lips... and they were on his… was this real? Then his brain jumpstarted into action. He slid his arms around Atsushi and returned the kiss. Atsushi backed him up until his legs hit the bed. The hatter broke the kiss, smirking as he stroked Tatsurou’s hair. "Down you go." He pushed Tatsurou down on the bed. Tatsurou shifted so he could lie back against the comfortable pillows. It felt so surreal to be lying before Atsushi like this. Especially now… how strange that he’d gone from being so convinced that Tatsurou was Alice, then crazy, and now believed him and wanted to have sex with him.

He started violently as he heard the dog barking in the garden. Oh no… the soldiers would find them up here! What would they do to Atsushi for protecting him? Tatsurou started to sit up, but Atsushi pushed him back down.

“I said you need to calm down.”

“But-” Tatsurou protested, quieting as Atsushi kissed him. He wouldn’t complain about being silenced in this manner.

“Hush. Did you not hear me earlier when I protected Alice? I hid her in my kitchen with the tea and scones while the March Hare and I kept the soldiers… occupied.” He smirked as he pushed Tatsurou’s legs apart so he could kneel between them. “They have no appreciation for humor, the queen’s soldiers.”

Tatsurou could imagine they didn’t. He said nothing though, attention completely on Atsushi now. How could he focus on anything else?

Atsushi ran his hands over Tatsurou’s tea-stained stockings. “Let’s get these off.” He slowly slid the stockings down and pulled them off. The skirt was pushed up his thighs next. Tatsurou tugged Atsushi down by his coat. He pushed it off his shoulders and fumbled with the buttons of his shirt, heart beating faster as he popped the last button out. Atsushi smirked and shrugged out of his shirt. "Do you like what you see?"

"Yes," Tatsurou gasped. He ran his hands over Atsushi's collarbones then down to his nipples, teasing them before moving his hand lower. Just as his hand brushed Atsushi's stomach his wrists were grasped and he was pulled up.

"Lean forward so I can get this off." Atsushi ran his hand down Tatsurou's dress. He obeyed, taking advantage of this new angle. He started kissing Atsushi's collarbones and his neck. Atsushi sighed softly and unlaced the dress. Tatsurou unbuttoned his pants and slowly rubbed Atsushi through the fabric, shivering at finally being able to feel him. And to think he'd soon feel Atsushi inside him. What an amazing thought.

Notes
1) Don't worry, Atsushi and Tatsurou will be having sex in Chapter 2. I figured this chapter was getting pretty long so it was fine without the sex.
2) Anyone have some good Tatsurou icons they'd like to share? I don't have any of him and now that I've started writing him more I need to get some...
3) The dress I put Tatsurou in is from the manga Alice in the Country of Hearts. It's actually based on a Japanese dating game. Alice has dark hair and is older than the Alice that Lewis Carrol wrote about so I'm basing Tatsurou's version of Alice on this one.

This is crackish, funny, awesome. But whole the time I was thinking only about one thing - by that 'transport to wonderland', did you shave Tatsuro's really in a manly way hairy legs, or not?
