Back from Tokyo
Mar. 4th, 2013 01:36 pmGot back into Hikone at 6:30 this morning then took the taxi from the train station. Normally I'm too proud to take the taxi as I consider it a waste of money but because I had class at 8:40 and it takes about an hour to walk back... it was way easier/convenient to take the taxi, which got me back to my school in 10 minutes.
I also had homework I needed to finish...
I'm not going to type up a full entry yet as that will have to wait until I've gone out and gotten some groceries then gotten a start on my homework. Also debating whether to bother posting an entry to LJ as people who seemed interested in my travel posts never commented on my Osaka one.
But here's a brief summary for now:

But here's a brief summary for now:
Friday
- Escaped Hikone on the first bus after my test
- Learned never to trust the shinkansen ticket machine as it spit out a ticket that was way too cheap and wouldn't let me use it. Useless machine
- Arrive in Tokyo, meet Hitomi
- Off to Harajuku
- Go to Asakusa to check into my hotel. Drop off stuff and walk to the Sky Tree
- Sky Tree closed because of weather
- Get rained on while going back to hotel
- Part ways with Hitomi, start a diary but too tired to do much
- Woke up too early (wtf)
- Go to Shinjuku
- Find out not much is open for another hour and a half
- Wander around, do some shopping
- Acquire new musical interest from hearing a Royz CD playing and liking the music. Listening now
- Attempt to chase down Club Z magazine with D on the cover as it's free. Fail miserably.
- Find epic lolita mall through sheer dumb luck
- Back to Harajuku so I could explore by myself
- Attempt Meiji Jingu but it was closing down
- Back to hotel
- Collapse from exhaustion
- Successfully cram everything into my little backpack except for the stuff I'll be using the most
- Back to Shinjuku to look for the elusive magazine and get some pretty socks from Alice in the Pirates
- Take too long looking for these stores, no time for homework
- Go to Suidobashi to meet Kaori -- seeing BUCK-TICK at Tokyo Dome!!
- Enjoy self by chatting with her and her friends (omg her guy friend had gorgeous long hair. I probably stared at it like a creep)
- Get awesome fandom presents from her
- Feel better about my Japanese since school makes me want to curl up in bed and never go outside again
- Amazing live performance, creeped very hard on Acchan with my binoculars. That man in a suit is an absolutely gorgeous sight
- Almost blinded by Imai's very... colorful outfit during the encore. If Imai and Tetsu meet, I'll be afraid. They would love each other with their wild outfits
- Feeling like hell because I barely ate Sunday and was paying for it during and especially after the live
- Part ways with Kaori :( I will absolutely see her again though, she's so much fun
- Back to Shinjuku, searching for appealing food
- Dinner = acquired
- Attempt to locate Shinjuku Sumitomo Biru as I'm taking the night bus out of there
- Frantic rush to do some homework then collapse on the bus

Date: 2013-03-05 08:06 am (UTC)When I go out travelling I want to make sure I'm doing a lot. When I'm in Hikone I basically sit at my desk and don't do all that much. So when I'm gone for the weekend I have a chance to explore. Feel like I got a good grasp of Shinjuku and Harajuku at least, so long as I don't take a wrong turn in the station again I'll be able to find my way back to places I'm familiar with. Acchan in a suit was GORGEOUS. Lol that's true, he could wear anything and still be hot. Haha the free magazine was the elusive magazine I'd mentioned. It was a Tower Records by the train station. Wasn't there Saturday but when I checked back on Sunday it was in. I got three copies LOL felt like such a creep but one was for me and I'd promised to get others for friends
The visual kei section of Tower Records is also one of my new favorite places for the wall of band polaroids that are usually autographed by all the members. Royz, D, so many others I'm having a brain fail. There was also a nice TV playing snippets from BUCK-TICK on Parade

This month's Issue features D and V-Splash has Black Gene for the New Scene and Realies on it.
I'm addicted to Cure, it's my favorite. Unfortunately V-Splash is not available outside of Japan as far as I know, have never seen it. :(
Oh my goodness! That wall sounds like paradise!! And I'm glad you were able to find the magazine you were looking for.
Have a great day hon. I am off to dreamland :0)

Date: 2013-03-05 08:32 am (UTC)Thank you for the link! My pop culture class has us going to Kyoto this weekend for a field trip and I saw I could pick up an issue in Kyoto. If the distance is feasible then I'll be sure to get my hands on that. Cure is awesome, I ran out and bought the D issue as soon as possible XD
It was pretty awesome. There was a Zeal Link store next to a rock style fashion store on the top floor of a Lolita mall I found
purely by accidentthat had Royz clothes from either a live or PV on display and then more polaroids of band members. Very cool!I'll try. Good night, have nice dreams of Rito wearing something slutty
