Tatsurou in Wonderland 2/?
Mar. 7th, 2013 07:14 pmHappy birthday to Atsushi! Wish I could go to his birthday live but Tokyo on a school night (and having a test on Friday) sounds like a disaster in the making. So when I need a study break I'll watch a live and some PVs. I thought about writing a new fic for Atsushi's birthday but figured it would be best to just finish chapter 2 of this story. I know I promised the sex scene would come in this chapter but my smut muse ran off and joined a convent so I haven't been able to work up the inspiration to write any smut. So when I do feel like writing the sex scene between these two, it'll be an in between chapter. So Chapter 1.5 will come (haha) eventually but I have to be in the mood to write smut before I can do it.

Chapters: 2/?
Summary: Tatsurou wakes up in a strange place wearing even stranger clothes with no idea what's happened to him. Then Atsushi, dressed as the Mad Hatter, finds him and Tatsurou realizes he's in Wonderland and taking the place of Alice.
Author's Comment: Tatsurou gets to meet someone new! Was able to finish this chapter up yesterday but didn't have time to type it up. Chapter 3 is developing in my head so I'll see when I'm able to write it.
Panting softly, Tatsurou reached up to run his fingers through Atsushi’s damp hair. He hadn’t quite expected to be “calmed down” like this but he certainly wouldn’t complain. Atsushi was an amazing lover. “I don’t feel so worried anymore.” He was still anxious about the cards and the queen, but Atsushi’s… method had worked. Tatsurou was no longer on the verge of a panic attack.
Atsushi smirked. “Good.” He kissed Tatsurou’s forehead then got off the bed. He gathered his clothes and started to get dressed, glancing down at Tatsurou. “I believe red would suit you best so the queen won’t confuse you with Alice.” He smoothed his messy hair down before putting his top hat back on. “Wait there, I’ll be back soon.” He waved then left the room.
Red would suit him? Tatsurou frowned as he sat up. Did Atsushi have a spare set of red clothes lying around? Even though he wasn’t interested in putting Tatsurou in his own clothes? It was unlikely that Atsushi was capable of conjuring up a dress for him so what was he supposed to wear? Probably the Alice dress he’d woken up in. Tatsurou soon had to take back his words when Atsushi entered the room again. What looked like a black and red dress was clasped in his arms. Where had that come from? Did he make it himself for had it been here already…? Smirking, he handed the garment to Tatsurou. “Put this on.”
The taller man’s eye twitched as he held up the dress. It was blood red with lacy black underskirts and trim around the little cap sleeves. A pair of black and red striped stockings similar to the ones he’d been wearing when he first came to Wonderland accompanied the dress. Cautiously he turned it, making a face as he saw that the back of the dress laced up with black ribbon. Why another dress… sure he wore skirts on stage but those skirts always had something else with it so he wouldn’t feel like he was practically naked. Sighing, Tatsurou got out of bed so he could get dressed. His mood blackened as he pulled the dress on. It stopped at mid thigh and the stockings went over the knee, showing off more of his legs than he was willing to. He snatched the underwear from the blue dress and put that on. Tatsurou fussed with his skirt, trying to pull it down more so he wouldn’t look quite so whorish.
“Stop playing with your dress. It fits you so well,” Atsushi said, lecherous smirk in place as his eyes wandered Tatsurou’s body.
Tatsurou scowled at him. “Yeah and I bet you can’t wait to rip it off again.”
“Is that an invitation?” Atsushi stepped behind him so he could lace up the dress. Tatsurou shivered slightly as Atsushi’s fingers brushed against his skin. He turned his head so he could see the hatter’s face. As much as he disliked the dress he didn’t have any other choice than to tolerate it since Atsushi liked it so much. And he probably wouldn’t be wearing it for too long anyway.
“Of course.” Tatsurou smirked slightly then kissed him. There was no way he would deny himself another chance to have sex with Atsushi.
The kiss was returned, and then Atsushi pulled back. He took his sweet time in lacing up the dress since he kept pausing to touch Tatsurou. His back, his thighs, brushing his hair aside to plant soft kisses on his neck… The little touches kept distracting Tatsurou from complaining about the dress. Atsushi drew back again. Tatsurou was about to gripe about the dress but was, once again, distracted as Atsushi smoothed his hands down Tatsurou’s thighs. “You should show off these long legs of yours more often, my dear.”
The fans would probably like that. “I prefer to keep them covered though.” Tatsurou turned so he could face Atsushi, stepping back slightly to put distance between them. Whenever the hatter touched him he always ended up swallowing his complaints. “Don’t you have something that at least has a longer skirt? Or better, pants?”
Atsushi smirked as he pulled Tatsurou closer. His hands dropped back to the taller man’s smooth thighs, slowly caressing them. “Why would I want to hide your body?” Just as his hands reached the hem of Tatsurou’s skirt, he abruptly pulled back. “You’re missing something.”
Tatsurou blinked. “I am?” What was he missing besides shoes? And more clothes… Atsushi obviously wasn’t going to give him more clothes so Tatsurou slid his arms around the hatter’s neck. He pulled Atsushi close. “What am I missing?”
“Close your eyes.” Atsushi ran his hands through the ends of Tatsurou’s long hair, brushing against his body. He shivered slightly and obeyed. He felt Atsushi’s hands leave him and for a moment there was nothing. Then the hatter turned his head down. What was he doing? Oh shit, he wasn’t putting another ribbon on him was he? Tatsurou felt something silky brush against his cheek and jerked his head up. Atsushi, smirking, neatly adjusted the ribbon in his hair. “There, you look so pretty now.” He turned Tatsurou so he could see his reflection in the hat shaped mirror on the nightstand. The ribbon was dark red with little black hearts on it.
“I’m not wearing this.” Tatsurou reached up to pull the ribbon out, but Atsushi caught his wrists.
“No, my dear, you have such beautiful hair and the ribbon compliments it so well.” The lecherous smirk returned as Atsushi made a deliberate show of looking Tatsurou over. “And you did look so stunning when I used it to tie you to my bed.” He took Tatsurou’s hand then led him to the stairs. With Atsushi distracted, it was easy to take the ribbon out of his hair.
Tatsurou smiled sweetly as Atsushi scowled at him. “You said you would tell me why the queen is hunting Alice.” Once he’d calmed down… and he was calm now. So it was time to hear this story.
Atsushi sighed softly. “I did.” He looked troubled instead of playful now. Tatsurou was starting to wonder if he should have waited to ask the question. Atsushi said nothing as he led Tatsurou down the stairs and to the kitchen. Once inside he released his hand, indicating one of the chairs then picking up a teapot. He didn’t join Tatsurou at the table until he’d brewed some tea. Atsushi sat next to Tatsurou once the tea was ready. “Would you like some?”
“What kind of tea is it?”
Atsushi laughed softly. “One you haven’t tried yet but I assume you’ll like it.” He poured the tea into two cups, pushing one towards Tatsurou. Remembering the foul taste of the first tea he’d tried here, Tatsurou sipped it warily. The tea had an odd berry flavor but was good. Atsushi picked up his tea then dropped his free hand to Tatsurou’s thigh. Someone obviously loved his legs. But Tatsurou liked being touched by him. Atsushi was quiet at first and he seemed to be gathering his thoughts. “The Queen of Hearts has always been fiery. She came to the throne as a child and has been pressured by advisors and her court since the day of her coronation.” He shifted so he could cradle the teacup in both hands. “The queen has always had a temper and nothing infuriates her more than being mocked or taken advantage of. Alice, unfortunate child, happened to do both.” He sipped his tea then glanced at Tatsurou. “Have you heard of the white roses that were supposed to be red?” Atsushi frowned and shook his head. “Of course you wouldn’t have heard of that. You do not live in Wonderland.”
“I’ve heard the story,” Tatsurou replied. The cards had planted white roses by mistake and had tried to paint all the roses red before the Queen of Hearts could notice their mistake. Whether it was discovered or not depended on the story.
Atsushi grinned. “It must be a famous story then.”
“It is.”
Atsushi nodded. “Alice was so curious to see what a castle was like so the Cheshire Cat and I brought her there. When we saw white roses and cards frantically scrambling to paint them red, we decided to play a prank on the queen. We began to paint the remaining roses blue, with Alice’s help of course.”
Tatsurou frowned slightly. “Weren’t you afraid of losing your head though?”
“No,” Atsushi replied cheerfully. “The queen had been in a frightful mood all week and we couldn’t resist the urge to incite her more.” A mad glint lit up his eyes, sending a chill down Tatsurou’s spine. This… wasn’t Atsushi anymore. This was the Mad Hatter. “The cards caught us just as we were painting the last rosebush. The Cheshire Cat of course vanished… with my favorite hat!” Atsushi looked more upset about the loss of his hat than the danger he’d placed himself and Alice in. He sighed softly then adjusted his hat. “The cards cut the bush down and as rose petals rained down on little Alice, the crown jewels suddenly appeared on her.”
Tatsurou stared at him. “The what?” he echoed. Jewels didn’t just suddenly appear on people. But he was in Wonderland where animals talked and cards were as lifelike as a human. Nothing was impossible here. Or was it? Tatsurou didn’t know.
Atsushi sipped his tea then set it down. “The jewels choose the monarchs of Wonderland. There is no hereditary succession to the throne. Sometimes the jewels will choose a child of the previous monarch but only rarely… and keeping the jewels can be quite difficult.” He smirked slightly. “The Queen of Hearts isn’t the only one who has lost the jewels.”
Tatsurou nodded slowly. “So Alice has the jewels now?”
“She does. But where she is now, that I do not know. It’s been four years since Alice was granted the jewels. Sometimes she appears in Wonderland but the jewels are never with her. She hasn’t seem them since the day they appeared on her head.” Atsushi shrugged slightly. “I would assume that they are waiting for the next suitable ruler.”
Tatsurou slowly sipped his tea, trying to wrap his head around the concept of sentient jewelry. It was a new twist on Wonderland. He’d never heard of the jewels before. And the Queen of Hearts was always the ruler of Wonderland. He couldn’t remember hearing a story about her predecessor. “How is the Queen of Hearts ruling if she doesn’t have a true claim to the throne anymore?”
Atsushi sighed softly. “That… is complicated. Only a few of the citizens of Wonderland know the truth about the jewels. Those that do, do not want to risk war. The queen is unwilling to surrender the throne and no one wants to fight her for it.”
That made sense. And in the case of war, the monarch would be chosen by the people and not the jewels. Would the citizens recognize that monarch as being the rightful ruler at all? This was, as Atsushi said, complicated. Tatsurou could understand why the Queen of Hearts was still on the throne. “So all you can do is wait for the jewels to choose the next ruler?”
“Yes.”
“So if the queen finds me…”
“It is very likely that she will see you as Alice and seek revenge.” Atsushi’s expression turned serious. “I admit that I am responsible for the threats to Alice’s life but I would never have expected the jewels to choose an outsider. The queen is also… less than happy with me… so the fact that we are together will cause her to dislike you even more.” He sighed softly as he looked at Tatsurou. “By dressing you in red I’ve made you look less like Alice but still….”
Tatsurou smirked slightly. “Should I worry that Alice looks like me?”
“The hair and dress work against you, my dear.”
Tatsurou’s smirk changed into a sweet smile. “Then by your logic I should be wearing your clothes instead of dresses.”
Atsushi opened his mouth to say something then closed it, looking at a loss for words. Tatsurou smirked again. Being able to stump the Mad Hatter was an accomplishment.
* * *
Despite making that point, Tatsurou was still wearing the dress for his second day in Wonderland. Atsushi was quite determined to believe that Tatsurou was safe in his home. And, as he’d demonstrated yesterday and that morning, he loved getting him out of the dress. Perverted man.
So the pair were once again in the tea party garden with the March Hare and the dormouse. They were drinking tea and eating scones (or cookies) while Atsushi told Tatsurou more about Wonderland. It was interesting to learn more about the history and inhabitants of this Wonderland. He’d just finished telling Tatsurou what he knew about the Cheshire Cat and was sipping his tea, letting the other man think about the things he’d just told him.
Suddenly Tatsurou had a question. “Atsu,” he set his teacup down then looked at the hatter. “Why is the Queen of Hearts called that? Are all the kings and queens of Wonderland the rulers of hearts?” Why hadn’t he thought of this earlier?
Atsushi snickered softly. “She is called that because her heart has been broken.”
Tatsurou frowned. So the title was a cruel nickname? “Oh… who broke her heart?” He saw Atsushi smirking again. Had Atsushi been the one to hurt the queen? This could be the reason why she didn’t like him. “Yesterday you said the queen isn’t all that fond of you. Why doesn’t she like you?”
“Because he stole from her,” the March Hare cackled, selecting a carrot scone and gnawing on it.
Tatsurou blinked. “You stole from her?”
Atsushi smirked slightly. “I did. And yet our Queen will never be able to bring herself to hate me.”
“Why not?”
“Because she has always admired me.”
How terrible to admire someone so much that you couldn’t even hate them for stealing from you. “Atsushi… what did you steal from her?” Did the queen have a lover that Atsushi had taken? Tatsurou was suddenly feeling anxious. If Atsushi already had a lover then what did that make him? Entertainment?
Atsushi was about to answer then tensed, turning towards the trees behind the garden. “Shh.”
“Hatter?” the March Hare asked.
“Someone is coming.”
Tatsurou stiffened. “Who?” Could it be the same soldiers who had come looking for him yesterday? Or did Atsushi have other friends? The hatter had told him about Wonderland but had mentioned little details about himself.
“I'm not sure.” Atsushi gave Tatsurou a quick glance over. “Just in case that it’s someone unsavory, my dear,” he brushed his fingers through Tatsurou’s hair in a gentle caress, “you should go inside.”
“Oh that won’t be necessary.” The icy voice caught Tatsurou by surprise. He looked up, starting as he saw Asagi come out of the trees. So he and Atsushi weren’t the only vocalists in Wonderland. Asagi, dressed in black, was wearing his own equivalent of a Mad Hatter uniform. Black top hat, overcoat, black pants that exposed his thighs… his clothes looked more elaborate than Atsushi’s though. Too elaborate to be walking through the woods. What was Asagi doing here? He obviously knew Atsushi since he had come to the tea party garden to see him. The hand still in Tatsurou’s hair was given a nasty look and then Asagi looked at him. Oh if looks could kill…
“Asagi.” Atsushi scooted his chair away from Tatsurou. “I didn’t expect to see you today.”
Asagi’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Have you forgotten what day it is?” he scowled at Tatsurou. “Or were you too busy with your new friend,” he made the word sound as horrible as possible, “to realize that today is your birthday?”
Tatsurou jumped. Today was Atsushi’s birthday? Stupidly he wondered what he should give him as a present. He didn’t have any money so he couldn’t go out and buy him a gift. Or a hat. Maybe he should just have sex with Atsushi again. It’d been more than enjoyable for both of them. But Asagi… was he the lover the queen had lost? Judging by the death glares he kept giving Tatsurou he could only have one role in this story: Atsushi’s lover. So if Atsushi stole from the queen and the queen had lost a lover… then Asagi had once been hers. And now he was Atsushi’s. Which… made Tatsurou the other man. Shit, this was so awkward. Why was Atsushi already with someone else?
The March Hare dropped a teacup, making them all jump at the sound of shattering china. “I’ll go get another.”
Tatsurou pushed his chair back. “Let me help you.” He would do anything to escape this tension. And the sick feeling of betrayal. It was stupid to be so upset when he barely knew Atsushi, when this was the Mad Hatter and not the Atsushi he was used to… still, he couldn’t help but feel like he’d been played with. Tatsurou awkwardly tugged at his skirt when Asagi’s already furious expression darkened further. He must look like a complete whore in the other man’s eyes. Tatsurou would look through Atsushi’s wardrobe once he was inside and find something that would fit (and cover him).
“I lost track of the days,” Atsushi said.
“How convenient for you,” Asagi snapped.
The March Hare and Tatsurou gladly escaped into the hatter’s house. Tatsurou shut the door, relieved that he could no longer hear what was going on outside. He didn’t want to hear Atsushi talking to his lover. Although a vindictive part of him wanted to see Asagi unleashing his temper on Atsushi… He sighed softly then started up the stairs to get some proper clothes. Tatsurou would get dressed then take a very long walk. Hopefully Asagi would be gone by the time he returned and he could figure out what he was supposed to do now.

1) Someone's in trouble now~
